Our Old-Berlin style restaurant Julchen Hoppe is located at the historic Schlossbrücke. From the sun deck, you have a great view of the Berliner Dom, Fernsehturm and the rebuilt city palace right across the river Spree.
At Julchen Hoppe you can indulge in original German and Berlin cuisine and discover classics like the crispy pork knuckle, Berlin style veal liver, beef roulade and many other specialties. And we have great dishes for fish lovers and vegetarians too. For example, there’s Julchen’s fish dish with 3 different fish varieties or a fried trout with fresh vegetables and rosemary potatoes. And the hearty potato fritter gratinated with tomato and cheese and topped with a fried egg can only be found at Julchen.
Julchen also has an absolute culinary delight to finish your meal: our „Berliner Luft“ – or „Berlin air“! A light dessert cream with a hint of lemon, which is traditionally served with raspberry sauce – and unfortunately it’s only rarely found in Berlin’s kitchens today. The first recipe for “Berliner Luft” can be found in a cookbook from 1897 but today this classic still tastes as refreshing and airy as it did back then.
By the way: for music lovers we have live music every Friday and Saturday with the greatest hits and evergreens from 10 decades (except during the months of July and August).
