Enjoy vegan and vegetarian food: gourmet tips in the Nikolai Quarter
If you simply prefer a meatless diet or consume no animal products at all, you will find a growing number of tempting vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menus in the Nikolai Quarter.
Traditional German and old Berlin cuisine is usually associated with hearty meat dishes such as knuckle of pork, roasts, butcher’s platters and meatballs, but of course it doesn’t always have to be meat these days. We now have plenty of plant-based alternatives, both for those craving something really hearty and for surprising dishes with lots of creative finesse – because today, vegan food is so much more than just a salad.
